Hope
I'm turning 36 years old this year. Wow, where has the time gone? I remember the days when I used to tell my childhood friends that I was going to be married by the time I was 25 years old, have kids (3 to be exact) before I turn 30. I guess that didn't work out for me.
I married my wonderful husband at the age of 26. We got married on February 17, 2001. Carlos is my best friend and I don't know what I would have done without him in my life. He completes me in every way possible. He makes me laugh, he makes me cry too!!! He drives me and everyone else in this world nuts, but he also has a big heart and will do anything for you. We don't have any children, but we pray everyday that God with bless us with a child. Whether it's a child we conceive on our own, or a child we foster/adopt, we know that we will be parents one day.
It is difficult to say what is impossible, for the dream of yesterday is the hope of today and the reality of tomorrow. ~ Robert H. Goddard

Before it's too late...
Why must conversions always come so late? Why do people always apologize to corpses? ~David Brin
If you have something to say to someone, you should tell them right away. Whether it's a loved one, friend or just an aquaintance. When you express the way you feel, good or bad, you are setting yourself free. A weight will be lifted off your shoulders. It's sad when you lose a loved one or a friend. Never getting that chance to say what you needed to say is something you will regret. Holding things in will only hurt you in the end.

It started with you...
I remember getting spanked quite often as a child. I was really a disobedient child, although you would never know it now, (LOL!) My parent's patience and wisdom during this time, amazes me. They never disciplined me for childish foolishness, only when they knew I was deliberately disobeying. I owe all that I know to my parents. If they were not there for me, I would not be the person I am today. As i've gotten older i've understood how much my parents' love means to me. Their wisdom, love, and support guided me through every decision, and gave me the peace and confidence I needed. I don't know what I would have done without my parents.
You both have been an outstanding inspiration to me. Getting to this stage in my life has taken a lot of time and work, but it is nothing compared to how you worked and sacrificed for me. You are the number one reason I am where I am today. Without your continued support I could never have accomplished so much.
Thank you for everything over the past 35 years. I could not have asked for more supportive parents! Thank you for always being just a phone call away and i'm looking forward to all of the adventures still to come!
"Children obey your parents, for this is well pleasing to the Lord." ~ Colossians 3:20
Emotions
When we feel sad or angry we do everything we can to push that feeling away. But trying not to feel something will most likely make you feel it even more.
Putting on a happy face all the time is draining. Pretending that you are not feeling scared or sad when you are is exhausting. Emotions are not forever. In time those feeling will pass and you will start to feel better again. Getting in tune with all of your feelings, good or bad, can help you get through the ups and downs of life and help you move through obstacles with confidence and ease. No one is perfect and that's what makes everyone special. So, If you are ever feeling sad, angry, scared, frustrated, or even bored....It's ok!!
Honesty
Definition of HONESTY
1 obsolete : chastity
2a : fairness and straightforwardness of conduct
People are not honest with each other and not being honest always causes problems that most often leads to someone getting hurt emotionally or physically. The one thing I can't stand is when someone lies or twists the truth around to make someone look bad or get hurt. If you lie, eventually its going get to your conscience. If people were honest, we would not have so many problems. It does not pay to lie because your conscience will eventually get to you. Besides, isn't honesty always the best policy???
